HARD ROCK CAFE HOLLYWOOD BLVD HOSTS THE ROCK COLLECTIVE’S ROCK FOR LIFE

BENEFITTING SWEET RELIEF MUSICIAN’S FUND

Event Will Raise Funds and Awareness around Mental Health

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – March 31, 2022 - Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood Blvd., the famed eatery and entertainment venue in the heart of Hollywood California has announced The Rock Collective’s “Rock For Life” Benefit Concert to Benefit Sweet Relief Musician’s Fund and Check Your Head Podcast on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

The Los Angeles Rock Collective has partnered with the Hard Rock Café Hollywood Blvd and Sweet Relief Musician’s Fund for a tribute concert to benefit mental health. Bands performing at the event will pick an artist who inspired them and then perform a popular cover of that artist’s music.

Artists to be honored include Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Paul Gray (Slipknot), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Elliott Smith and Amy Winehouse. Live performances from bands Carry the Day, State Five, Against the Sun, Anson, Chasing Desolation and HVNTED will provide an amazing night of entertainment for a great cause.

The LA Rock Collective is a mutually supportive group of Rock and Roll bands and artists who have committed themselves to supporting each other. The bands share, collaborate and play live shows together while offering support through times of adversity. Many within the community have dealt with anxiety and depression and know firsthand how it affects you personally. The bands that make up The LA Rock Collective are committed to bringing awareness and support to mental issues that affect their community.

The music industry has lost many iconic figures who struggled with forms of depression, anxiety, or substance abuse of some kind. The impact is often debilitating and sometime lead to suicide. Those in the public eye may look to have the ideal life but, at times, can be struggling with isolation, fear and other feelings that lead to addiction or other mental health issues.

The Sweet Relief Musician’s Fund’s mission is to heal musicians in need. The non-profit organization provides financial assistance to all types of musicians and music industry workers who are struggling to make ends meet while facing physical or mental health issues, disability or age-related problems.

“The Rock Collective is all about coming together as a Community. Everyone is welcome. It’s about mutual support – both professionally and socially. The musicians we’re honoring have both inspired us and left us with a profound sense of loss. Now more than ever, we feel compelled to use our music and talent to support this cause and those in our community who need it the most.” – David Swanson, LA Rock Collective

“We are honored to host this important event at the Hard Rock Café Hollywood Blvd on Sunday, April 24th. Mental health is an important issue and we feel music can bring us all together to support this cause and help others who may be struggling. Please join us for this very important event where music will play an integral part in bringing about awareness and support.” – Brian Orozco, Hard Rock Café Hollywood Blvd Sales & Marketing Manager.
